Becky Brown is the principal at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary School. She has over 40 years' experience in teaching in both public and Catholic schools, 24 of those years in administration in Catholic Schools. Ms. Brown received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Elementary Education from Eastern Kentucky University, and a Rank One and Administrative Certification from the University of Kentucky and holds Catechist Certification in both the Diocese of Lexington and the Diocese of Covington. She is the aunt of two girls who take a road trip together each summer to visit one of the 50 states to see the beauty and uniqueness that each state has to offer. Ms. Brown was honored to be named the 2007 National Catholic Educational Association’s Principal of the Year and the 2013 Diocese of Lexington Catechist of the Year.
Darren Norton is our Assistant Principal as well as a School Catechist. He has 28 years of experience in education in both public and Catholic schools. Six of those years were spent in administration of alternative schools and fifteen in administration in Catholic schools. Mr. Norton received his Bachelor’s Degree in English Education, Master’s of Educational Leadership and Rank 1 Certification from Eastern Kentucky University. He has been happily married to Kathy Norton, a prior Pre-K Teacher at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary School, for over 34 years. His three children graduated from Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary School, Lexington Catholic High School and Eastern Kentucky University.
Erica Giacomi is Director of Development at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary School. She is a graduate of Marshall University with a BA in Communications. She is a Mary Queen parishioner and is the proud mother of two children, Evelyn and Andrew, both students here at MQHR. Erica has enjoyed being highly involved with Mary Queen School and parish since her children began attending our Pre-K program in 2016. Erica is also a local business owner/operator and Real Estate Broker at New Key Realty and with that brings her 18 years of business management, networking and marketing experience to our school. Kellie Pedroche is the Admissions Manager and Safe Environment Coordinator at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary School. She oversees admissions and enrollment for students and their families and serves as a key resource for FACTS Financial questions. In her role as Safe Environment Coordinator, she ensures the school complies with our Diocesan Safe Environment requirements.
Mrs. Pedroche also assists in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Human Resources, managing various clerical and administrative functions essential to the school's operations. Known for her dedication to supporting staff, students, and parents, she brings a wealth of experience from her previous role as parish secretary at Mary Queen, where she served for over six years.
Kellie is married to Myron, and they have four sons: Jared, Austin, Tanner, and Noah. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.
Donovan serves as the Office Manager at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary, bringing valuable experience from his previous roles as an Office Assistant and Attendance Clerk within the Fayette County Public School system. He is currently pursuing a degree in education, aspiring to become a high school teacher. In his free time, Donovan enjoys watching movies and TV shows, listening to music, and exploring nature. He is also an avid fan of the New York Yankees.
